Vineyard Notes
The 2024 vintage was warm throughout the growing season. There was a good amount of rain in the spring. In June, drier conditions set in. Had small pockets of rain in July and August, but warm-hot days were consistent and gave the fruit ample time to ripen. Harvest was a very smooth and straightforward process this year. No unexpected snafus from mother nature. The fruit was a nice quantity of beautifully ripened clusters.
Production Notes
The Pinot Noir was harvested September 13, 2024. There was an overnight cold soak on the skins before pressing off. Fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks with 3 months resting on light lees before bottling.
Tasting Notes:
Aromatics: Orange oil, fresh passionfruit, sweet grass, wild strawberry, minty, petrichor
Flavors: Bing cherry, pomegranate juice, jolly rancher watermelon, fennel frond and celery leaves
Texture: Mid palate is full and creamy. Finish is dry and well integrated.
