A bright and focused red, revealing cherry, currant, spice and iron flavors. Lively and succulent on the almost puckering finish, showing terrific balance and a long aftertaste. Best from 2025 through 2043.

The 2018 Brunello Di Montalcino is expressive out of the gate and ripe with purity, revealing cherry lozenge, pressed lavender, blood orange, and sanguine earth. It is seamless to the palate, with its ripe fruit lasting through the finish, with freshness and energetic tension. With notes of sweet raspberry, wild strawberry, herbes de Provence, and saline earth, this is a beautiful and elegant wine to drink over the next 10 -12 years.

The nose on this wine opens with leather, vanilla, cranberries and figs. It then offers earth tones of soil, wild herbs, flower petals and crushed rocks. A rich mocha palate is lush but still structured. It conveys fresh cherries and strawberries before bringing in soil notes on the back, and angular, dense tannins.

Aromas of orange peel, wet earth, bark, stones and sour cherries. Fresh, balanced and mineral, with a medium to full body and fine-grained tannins. Very drinkable. Drink now or hold.
