James Suckling
Strong Soave tradition here, drawing on the older nomenclature of the zone that once referenced Chablis-type and Rhine-type iterations. This, of the former ilk. 100% fermented in French oak, with ample lees articulation. White marl soils imparting a saline wisp to the finish. Floral, gently oxidative and impressively textural.
Decanter
This single-vineyard Soave Classico is sourced from vines on marl-limestone soils, and matured for around five months in large French oak. It has a fresh nose of melon and apple, with stony edges. In the mouth it combines honeydew melon sweetness with a lovely creamy note, finishing with some green fruits and a hint of papaya.
