Barry Family Cellars was founded in 2011 by Ken and Ian Barry in Burdett, New York, near Seneca Lake in the Finger Lakes Region. Ian worked at wineries in the Hudson Valley, Oregon and Washington, and makes the Barry Family wines with techniques he personally enjoys, eschewing intervention in favor of more minimalist techniques.

BARRY FAMILY CELLARS CABERNET FRANC

This medium-bodied Cabernet Franc showcases vibrant notes of black cherry and cassis, layered with hints of dried herbs. Fermented in a French oak tank with daily pump-overs, it was then pressed off and aged in a single 600L, three-year-old French oak puncheon. Sourced from the historic Challen Vineyard on the west side of Cayuga Lake, the grapes were grown sustainably and fermented with only ambient yeast. Bottled unfined and unfiltered, this wine reflects both purity and place.
